From a very young age, I learned to grasp people’s emotions and see right through them. Being born and growing up in the Syndicate amidst all the chaos, brutality, and betrayal along with my own terrible past, it was a survival mechanism born from necessity.
Pain has a way of sharpening the senses. The wounds of my past, which I refuse to discuss even with myself, shaped in me a sharp instinct to see the truth behind smiles, the fear hidden in bravado, and the lies that slipped too easily from forked tongues. In the Syndicate, this skill was more than useful; it was a weapon.
